Is it possible to fit wall mounted bath filler taps in a solid wall
Hi l am fitting a new bathroom and the low pressure wall monted taps that l
have seen would appear to be designed for hollow walls ,my walls are
masonry and l am not sure about the method of installation, any help would
be appreciated ,thanks
The house i Live in is masonry as well, the plumber basically
took a hilti drill and cut the wall where needed to run the pipes and
connect fixtures . after everything was done we got a mason to come back
and fill back in over the pipes re-plaster the walls and then we re-tiled
/ painted back to a finish
Chase them out - but then rather than just plaster them in use
the ''expanded foam'' you can get in an aerosol to fill in. That way it
protects the pipes/taps/connectors AND saves money on plaster.
Pip
you would need to chase the wall out where you want the pipe
work to go.. then plaster back over them. Remember to protect the pipes
with a covering before plastering and redecorating..
its quite easy
